“"We reached Jerusalem by the Jaffa Gate,” wrote Mark Twain in 1869. For many visitors, Jaffa Gate is indeed the first of Jerusalem’s entrances encountered upon arriving at the Old City. This was the first piece of Judaica I crafted after making aliyah, and the 18K yellow gold pendant faithfully captures the grandeur and splendour of Suleiman the Magnificent’s gateway in remarkable detail.

 

Crafted in solid 18K yellow gold, the pendant weighs 8.8 grams and measures 2.1 cm in height by 1.8 cm in width (with an additional 1.2 cm bale). When worn, it evokes that timeless moment of arrival — the feeling of having truly reached Jerusalem.
