My Story

I love designing and making jewellery. I often begin with a small spark of an idea, sketch an awful first drawing, and then slowly refine it into a final design. Whether I’m struggling directly in gold or wrestling with the 3D-modelling program I ‘love to hate’, nothing compares to the thrill of receiving the finished piece back from the diamond-setter’s bench or the gold polisher. Finally holding it in my hand and seeing the new jewel in all its glory—ready to wear and to begin its journey to a waiting client—is the best moment of all.”

My Story

One of my earliest childhood memories is of watching my father on a Sunday morning, carefully picking tiny diamonds from blue wax-paper ‘brifka’ envelopes at the long desk in my bedroom. I remember him shuffling around on his knees, searching for the stones that had flown from his metal tweezers onto the beige carpet. He would rhythmically tap the carpet with the flat of his hand, trying to make the sparkling diamonds leap out of the pile so he could find them again.”

My Story

I grew up surrounded by jewellery and great design, and was fortunate to study at the Sir John Cass School of Art & Design, followed by a two-year apprenticeship with a master goldsmith in a traditional workshop in London’s Hatton Garden. After moving to Israel, I opened one of Jerusalem’s first designer–goldsmith shops, Macassar Jewels, at the historic Rechavia Windmill. For more than twenty years it served local customers and clients from around the world.”

My Story

I believe jewellery design should be contemporary yet timeless, crafted to endure for generations. My pieces are never lightweight or ordinary; drawing on my classic goldsmith training, I ensure that every jewel leaving my workshop is elegant, well-made, and beautifully balanced. Each one is created to be worn, enjoyed, and to carry lasting memories for many years to come.”
